The unlikely duo meet on an unforgettable motorbike trip through the vibrant landscapes of Vietnam, where their shared passion for adventure—and a mutual love for gin—sparked an idea that would change everything.
As they cruised through Vietnam’s winding roads, with the misty mountains and lush greenery as their backdrop, they started dreaming up something special—a gin that would reflect not only their love for travel but the flavors that had shaped their journeys.
Inspired by Scotland’s rich heritage and wild, untamed beauty, they set out to craft a gin infused with the finest Scottish botanicals and spices, creating a blend as bold and unique as their own story. This was just the beginning—every bottle they craft tells a tale of exploration, rich flavors, and the perfect balance of tradition and innovation.

Why?
Grumpy Gorilla Gin: Uplifting Communities, Protecting Wildlife
High in Uganda’s misty mountains, the gorillas are grumpy—and for good reason. Their forest home is disappearing. As trees fall to deforestation, they’re forced into smaller spaces and closer contact with humans, making them vulnerable to poaching and conflict. Their way of life—peaceful, wild, free—is under constant threat.
But the crisis goes beyond the gorillas. The same forces destroying their habitat are also hurting the local communities—families living on the front lines of environmental loss, struggling with poverty, instability, and limited opportunity.
One of our founders was born and raised in Uganda, deeply shaped by the land’s beauty and challenges. While he never encountered gorillas directly, he grew up understanding how environmental destruction can unravel not just ecosystems, but entire communities. That understanding inspired Grumpy Gorilla Gin.
